Hi, everyone

I am using MDM version 20140901 on a windows 64 bit system.
Sometimes MDM hangs on my system (when i raise or lower a value with a mouse click)
This is not a big problem for me if i could restart MDM.
MDM is only restartable by rebooting my entire system.
I have found out that Javaw.exe is still active and i cant get it killed.
I tried killing the entire process tree, login as a different user no luck however.

Does anyone know how to kill this javaw process?

I've been working on a new MDM feature for some time which I call 'visual sync state' in development.
With this feature MDM tries to track any changes in MDM and if it notice any difference between settings in MDM and in MegaDrum MDM visually indicates this.
This feature is almost complete (Global settings are not yet tracked). Please test the version 20141005 from:

http://www.megadrum.info/downloads/

In this version:
1. When MDM starts it shows settings labels for Misc, Pedal, Pads, Curves and Custom Input Names in BLUE which means MDM<->MegaDrum sync state is unknown.
2. When you do GetAll or SendAll, MDM changes settings labels to BLACK colour, which means settings are in sync.
3. When you make any settings changes, MDM compares the value of the changed setting in MDM with the last received from MegaDrum value for the same setting and if they differ MDM changes the changed setting label colour to RED.
4. If 'Live updates' is enabled, all settings should stay in sync.
5. When you close MIDI, all settings labels should revert to unknown state, i.e. to BLUE colour.

Please let me know if you notice that this feature doesn't behave as I described it should.

I'm not getting this feature, nor understanding it. I presume MD is supposed to pick up the changes in MDM and implement them rather than the other way round?
I have blue, then do a get all, and all goes black - fine.
make a change in MDM (goes red), I then need to press send and get to return to black.

When 'Live updates' is enabled, MDM automatically sends changed settings to MegaDrum whenever you make the changes in MDM.

Seems to work as described (atmega 1284). Is this to remind me to press send or am I missing something?

Yes, it is mainly to remind a user that MDM and MegaDrum might be 'out of sync' and that you have to do 'send/send all'.
It can also be useful when you want to make a handful of config changes and want to review them before sending them to MegaDrum.

Hi!

First, what a nice function with the colors to see the changes. Works just perfectly!

However, I did experience one small error in the new MDM. I have made an upgrade of the firmware on my e-cajon...where I have configured the first 4 inputs. If I load my configuration file in MDM and then do a an ordinary save to slot...MDM fills som of my inputs and the rest of the inputs (in my case 32) with standard note values etc. I have no idea where these are coming from. In my Mds file the values was set to 0 for all inputs above 4. This is the case in MDM until you do a send all/save to slot...then MDM have populated the values.
