Extend RAM memory for Atmega644

Hi Dmitri, I have a (possibly silly) question for you: seeing as the Atmega644 has apparently already hit its limit regarding RAM memory, would it not be possible to extend it with something like this? Just tell me if you think I'm talking out of my backside...
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.
