Unencrypted Bootloader

Postby slbuild » Mon Nov 28, 2016 11:29 pm

Greetings!
I have been scouring the forum searching for step by step instructions on how to load the unencrypted bootloader onto an Atmega324P. I have found bits and pieces all over but nothing that can give me the complete picture. I'm ashamed to say that I currently have 11 separate tabs open to different topics trying to find what I need in order to get this thing programmed. I have loaded the PIC firmware and the PC recognizes it as a USB audio device so now all I really need is to get everything loaded on the Atmega.

Does anyone have a direct link to a step by step process somewhere here?

***UPDATE***
I've managed to get the bootloader installed and it is asking for me to send SysEx now. The issue I am now coming to is that I have a 16MHz crystal with the 324P chip and I don't see that as an option in the firmware. Did I miss something?
