How did you do this without closing other MIDI software? This is so that I could advise your solution to other new MegaDrum users when they have the same problem as you.

As per explanation in the first post of this topic:

All firmware files in the archive after version 20110410 have the following naming scheme:
megadrumppp_nn_yyyymmdd.bin
where
ppp - MCU type. STM32a - for STM32F103RBT6, STM32b - for STM32F103RCT6, STM32d - for STM32F205RCT6, STM32e - for STM32F205LITE, 644 - for Atmega644, 1284 - for Atmega1284
nn - Maximum number of inputs for the firmware.
yyyymmdd - date(version) of the firmware.

and you said that your MegaDrum is STM32F205RCT6 based, plus you said that the LCD on the module showed FwSUpdaterSTM32d when you start MegaDrum in the firmware update mode, then obviously you need STM32d firmware. So the firmware file you need is megadrumSTM32d_56_20171017.bin

ok success !!!! finally thank you for your patience , I'm using Roland RT series triggers any issues with that

Ok I had copperland midi over lan software installed in my pc , I uninstalled the app completely and it worked fine , it was not running at the time but obviously it affects MGMFX when using it

MDMFX is very susceptible to other midi software it seems
