What do you mean it doesn't work without a hub? I think the problem is in fact due to using a USB hub.

I connect the module directly to the PC. Should I do it otherwise?

I thought you wrote:

Can you do the firmware upgrade on a desktop (not a laptop/table/notebook) PC without a USB hub in between the PC and MegaDrum?

I meant connected, sorry. Not extra powered. Simply USB connection from the module to the PC, nothing else.

Actually the first PC I used was a desktop PC, but to upload the firmware to the MegaDrum I need to connect it via USB, don't I?

Yes, directly over USB without any hub in between.

That's exactly how I did it. No hub ever.

Can you please do it again with step-by-step description?
Please also take a photo of how it is connected to a PC so that there is no misunderstanding of how it is actually connected.

Also, so it is clear to me, what did you mean by?
I have a powered USB. Otherwise, the module wouldn't have worked before...

I am a telecommunications engineer and have a master in audiovisual production, I know how to connect devices. Believe me.
The connection is a simple USB cable, I know what a powered USB is. It was only a language translation mistake. There's no powered USB.

And I can assure you that the steps that I am realizing are exactly the indicated in the firmware update post for an ARM based MegaDrum. Actually, there are few steps. I know you are trying to help, but in my opinion there's some kind of problem that prevents the software to be identified or inscribed in the EEPROM. Since the beginning, it was never possible to do an update even from the MegaDrumManagerFX (and before trying to do the update the module was operative).
