reverted to my last Config in my post above, the new firmware gives me dropouts (missing notes), maybe my device is too old.

If it is STM32F205 based then it is current. For all other MCUs Noise Filtering is not implemented.
If you set Noise Filter Level to 0 you effectively revert it to old behaviour. With Noise Filter Level set higher and with old config you may want to adjust Thresholds/DynTime/DynLevel to optimize triggering.

My MCU is STM32F103RCT6. Is this compatible with the new firmware?

It is compatible of course but Noise Filtering is implemented only in STM32F205. In STM32F103RCT6 and all other MCUs it is ignored and it is there only for compatibility with latest MDMFX.

Since all firmware versions work fine except for the last one, could next firmware version work again?

Could you rebuild the last version but slightly modified as a test case?

Unfortunately this new algorithm cannot be supported in STM32F103.
