Are these the actual latest schematics and PCB layouts for Megadrum? If I am to use these for my build, which version of kicad are these saved from
so that I may update them to be used in a newer version of kicad and can be imported into other design programs.
Also, Ive tried to open the schematics in 2 different versions of kicad so far but they both complain that there are no symbols available.
Is there somewhere to download these?

Thanks

The schematics for the Atmega version were created back in 2011 with whatever version KiCad was available at the time. The schematics have not changed since then. If I remember right, the symbols should be cached in the schematics. If you cannot read the schematic with recent KiCad versions, then you can just re-draw the schematic in a latest KiCad version or in any other design app (it is not a complicated design with not so many parts) using the PDF schematic as a guide.

Ok sounds good. I started redrawing them in EasyEda since I know it pretty good. Also I decided to use a SMD footprint for most of the parts. If anyone is interested, I’ll update here once I have confirmed accuracy between mine and the original and order test boards at that time.

Thanks for the response and catch you later on.

Happy drumming.

BTW. You mentioned the Atmega version. Is there another version using a different processor?

Yes, STM32F205RCT6 based. But it comes only with kits and modules.

Is it possible to buy only the firmware controller STM32F205RCT6?
I want to design a PCB.
