I'll admit I didn't read the whole thread but are these kits not available now? I'm kind of looking into the Megadrum or Edrum. Not sure how much different they are from one another although the megadrum has more inputs.

Surf the main web (www.megadrum.info) and you will see that Megadrum is a project more active than edrum.info

Check out all the great features megadrum has and edrum doesn't

Besides, now megadrum is even easier and cheaper to build. The new kits Synthex is selling are available and cheaper than previuos versions.

You also have a software to configure megadrum and automatically update its firmware, that is, "megadrum config tool".

Join us!! hehehe

Yeah I've pretty much determined that I want megadrum instead. The fact I don't need a midi interface on my computer for it alone is worth it. Edrum has a kit as well but its more then Megadrum.

You can't really make these PCBs yourself, they are double sided. The latest AIO board that you can feasibly make yourself is the v2.5. If you have already bought a 2.7 kit, the information you need to complete it is on the first page of this topic. If you are looking to buy a kit, this is a really old version, you want the v3.1 which is at viewtopic.php?f=3&t=813 .

Yes you can. Double-sided PCB's are not that hard to make.

In this particular case though I would NOT recommend it.
