Jakeb: some kits would be really nice. An alternative to having these pcbs made professionally: supply laser printed pcb design on glossy photo paper, as well as copper clad pc board, and etching solution. All designs could use the same pcb (different numbers of inputs, options like kbd, led display etc..) but it would be nice if you sold customized kits. So if someone only needed usb, they could order only those parts.

The PCBs are not that much to have made. I sell a set of admirs edrum boards for $22 shipped and these would be around that for 1 digital 1 analog and 1 usb board. For $20 it is nice to not have to etch and then drill all those holes. And they have really nice pads and are silk screened. So you can just populate the boards quickly. Really the way to go.

Hi jakeb, as you are in the USA i am afraid that shipping to Europe would be a bit expensive.
Could you tell me which company makes those PCBs for you? I am interested in contacting them to make an order for at least 10 sets of PCBs for Spanish friends I have on a drum forum interested in building megadrum. How much does it costs to you each kit?

And another question... do those PCB include the components (resistors, diodes, capacitors) already solded?

Thanks!
See you

I just ordered 15 sets of the digital board, the analog22 board, and the *true*usb board as listed above in the forum. It takes the company about 7 days to get them made and then about 7-10 days to ship them to me.

I am going to put together some prices for just the PCBs and PCBs with parts. All the parts will be in small labeled bags so you know where everything needs to go.

Normally shipping from the US to overseas is about $10 USD extra to the kit price. PCBs only cost about $4 to ship anywhere in the wrong for one set.

A poriton of each sale will go back to the megadrum project to help offset any costs.

I'm really interested in getting a kit.

I'm currently looking for a good enclosure to fit it all in, but good enclosures are hard to come by...

Any ideas?

a lot depends on where you are at. In the US Mouser list over 5,000 cases and enclosures.

Hi,

I'd be highly interested in buying a completely made megadrum.. I don't know which version, whichever one I'd need to hook up a Hart Giga Pro set to my computer for maximum BFDness.

Will you be doing complete modules, or only the boards?
