For myself and others who have bought the v2.8 kit, could you please verify:
1. On the PCB, "ICSP Atmega32" & "ICSP 18F2550" do not need to be used (for programming chips)
2. "Encoders" is only for those who use knobs instead of buttons and otherwise need no connection
3. "EXT" is for use with an optional 16 input daughter card and otherwise need no connection
Also, I understand where the USB type B connector is installed on the board, but what are the 4 contacts below this position used for?

I believe that all you will need is:
1. An enclosure of some sort to house the megadrum
2. Jacks of your choice, i.e. rca, 1/4 phone jacks or any other that you choose.
3. If you choose to go with the 1/4 phone jacks then you may want to make the v1.8 jacks pcb so that you don't have a bunch of wires cluttering up your enclosure.
4. cables that match the jacks you choose to go to your e-drums.
5. USB cable to connect the megadrum to your computer
