PCBv1.8 Jumpers.jpg

In this example, Jumper A and Jumper C are ON.

Jumper A : High Input Impedance
Jumper B : Low Input Impedance
Jumper C : Tip = +5Volts ; Ring = Input
Jumper D : Ring = +5Volts ; Tip = Input

So I need 3 jumpers set? I set these and I'm still getting nothing from the pedal.... Is there a bar on the megadrum display for the pedal?

Also when I hook a piezo to the kick drum port I don't get anything either.... wondering why.

Check for continuity between input jacks and input pins on the board.

Ok I figured out what was wrong with my kick. Got that fixed I had it soldered to the tip instead of the side of the jack. I still don't have the pedal working though. I have to run to ratshack to get some wire so when I get back I'll work on getting the pads all wired up and then I'll work on this pedal.

Are you sure you wired jumpers as Synthex pointed out above and that you plugged your pedal into the pedal input?

Yes pretty sure, but I'm going to look into it for a while here in a few. I'm not sure if the FD8 is high or low impedance.

Alright I checked the jumpers and they are exactly what Synthex posted. I messed with some settings and I can't seem to get anything from it! Shouldn't the blue LED on the module it self light up with the pedal as well? I'm not even getting thing...not sure what's going on here.

1. Measure voltages on the tip and the ring of the pedal when it's fully open and when it's fully closed.
2. Measure voltage on the pin 33 of Atmega when the pedal is fully open and when it's fully closed.
Disconnect the pedal.
3. Measure resistance between the sleeve and the tip when the pedal is fully open and when it's fully closed.
4. Measure resistance between the sleeve and the ring when the pedal is fully open and when it's fully closed.

Ok I'll do this later today, I have to grab a new battery for my DMM as I left it on.

Ok apparently I replaced the battery already?

Anyways!

Pedal open I get 5.05v and closed I get .45v.

On pin 33 I'm getting .45v regardless of if the pedal is open or not.

Resistance across the connector on the pedal are

Ring/tip 19k ohms open, 0k ohms closed

Not getting anything on the ring/sleeve.
