Oh and another weird symptom that goes with the Vu-Meter blocs problem... a sound! A sound coming from my tom piezo whenever I have one of the two laterst firmware installed. That bug is terrible. It literally makes my piezo squeal! I hope it didn't kill it! Didn't have the time to check this morning.

I'll try to look at that Cocoa source code... but even though I'm the only one with this weird bug, I still dont understand how MCT could manage to let me install a firmware correctly and not a certain upgrade of that same firmware :?

Geez I'm really starting to pile up problems!

Borrow a PC, install the latest firmware using MIDI-OX just make sure it is MCT which causes the firmware corruption.

Each firmware has more and more cool features. With this speed, Atmega is going to be obsolete in a few days!!

I appreciate a lot the work done in this project

I'm having strange values with the 20090517 - v32_16_32.

Pedal LowLevel: 17934 (seems a bit high for a low value ;) )
Pedal HighLevel: 9301, if I push UP once it switch to 1023

I've have installed it several times to confirm the consistency of the problem. I've even downloaded the zip twice to make sure that's not the problem.

MIDI-OX hangs when closing it. When I turn off MD, MIDI-OX imidiately jumps out of the gridlock.

EDIT
It seems like an USB issue.

- Booting MD w/ left button = device manager detect MD correct as USB composite device
- Erase and Install firmware procedure in MIDI-OX successful.
- MD auto-reboot, MD has the weird setting, MIDI-OX can't see MD, device manager register MD as 'unknown usb'.
- Reinstall 20090512 v32_16_32 and MD/MIDI-OX/Devicemanager is fine and dandy.

I want to test the new HHPedal-thingies so badly

Can anyone else confirm this?

Tested it with this - http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=745 - which is Atmega644 20MHz, i.e. using megadrum644_20_32_20090517.syx, and still cannot reproduce it.

I'm up and running 20090517. I restarted my pc and that took care of the USB issue.

I did get weird behavior from MD like streams of aftertouch from my Yamaha 3-way cymbal (not the hihat cymbal). I wasn't able to correct it from MD settings but Send to MD from MCT was, so I'm happy.

It should not have happened if the firmware was programmed correctly because the default settings in this version are just the same as in 20090515.
And even if for some reasons the settings were corrupted you should be able to revert to default settings by pressing the key RIGHT while powering up, see http://www.megadrum.info/content/config ... -and-hints .

I was away a few days so I never got the chance to install 20090515. Could you PM me the 32_16_32 part of it? I'd like see how my MD reacts, just to follow through.

20090512 v32_16_32 has the same default settings and I believe you have it.

Yes, I went from the 20090512 to the 20090517.

Anyway, I reinstalled 20090512 and had the same USB issue turning up. After some reinstalling and step-by-step testing, I think I have isolated the source of the problem. My old settings didn't automatically transfer to the new firmware and loading them from MD 'load config' apparently corrupted the firmware.

I reinstalled 20090517, manually adjusting all global-, pedal- and hihat-settings. I used MCT 'Send to MD' for each of the rest and all is working again.
