Dear Sir:

I would very much like to buy one of your Kit#3 that include the PC board and all the additional electronic parts. It sounds like you no longer have the kit v2.8. Will you be able to notify me when you have the new boards and parts to make up a new Kit#3? Here is my email address:

hoytyeatman@yahoo.com

Thanks a lot for your help.

Best,
Hoyt Yeatman

The kit v2.8 is no longer in stock.

The new version v3.1 will be available in early July.

Before building, please read the PDF and the FAQ section in this post !

PCB v2.8 Professional achievement :
- Double Layer
- Copper Thickness 70 um
- 155 mm x 70 mm with mounting holes

I second this ;)

I will do a secondary board for the rest of the 56 inputs.

Do you want a jacks PCB for "stacked jacks" or for "single/normal jacks" ?

I would say Stacked, if you think they'll fit in a 1 space rack enclosure.

I think doing a single kit with all components.
The price is not fixed yet, but it should be around 80 euros (+ donation to Dmitri, shipping cost and fees)

Hey @Synthex,

congratulation to your new 3.1 PCB Kit! Just for the available trigger-inputs compare to the ROLAND TD-20 I have to say: This is a real monster! :P (particularly if one compares the price) But for the connectivity I will think in a new dimension for handle this on stage. I mean it is very powerful to have so many 28 trigger-inputs but who likes to connect every day those many particular jacks to rear side of the unit?

My idea is to use a Breakout Box mounted at the drum rack for this. In this box you use maybe 4 "stacked jacks" (each with 8 jacks) with a new designed jacks PCB from you. From this Breakout Box you go out with one IDE connector cable to the rear side of the MegaDrum Interface (maybe 19" 1U rack box) with also one IDE connector. USB/Midi ports and supply power connector should also at the rear side from the interface. What do you think about this? Is this realistic? I think many drummers would have this feature for professional use on stage.

Thanks with best regards

Trommeltotti, das ist eine gute Idee!

Trommeltotti, that's a great idea! I'd like to have a short cable with 16 jacks on one side and one type on the other end (female) so you could place all in a 19" rack. Then there's the male plug type with 16 female jacks on the other side. So I could plug in what I want on this one and leave it on the rack of the drums. Connecting all the drums with the 19" rack would be much easier.

Reserve one for me if you would kind sir ;) Can I get all of the components required for the additional 24 inputs from you. Do you know what kind of memory megadrum will have with all 56 inputs as opposed to the 32 input version? Do we need to use 18F14K50 ic instead of the 18F2550? and will it come programmed?
I wont be using pcb boards for my build to keep things compact but if I had to they would be stacked. Thanks
