General comments.
In my experience with AltFalseTrSupp set to Yes I get better results eliminating false triggering without effecting fast rolls. In any case it is better to start with adjusting DynLevel/DynTime to tackle false triggering/fast rolls before resorting to increasing Retrigger.
Dual puezo/switch cymbals:
- You don't really need to change Gain for Edge inputs. It only effects the switch Threshold and has no effect on the dynamic range. With the default Gain set to 4 a Threshold of 30 for the Edge input should work fine in 99% case.
- I've noticed that you have Bow Threshold set between 20 and 40. My experience with Pintech and Millenium cymbals is that they are very sensitive so in my setup I almost always have to set it above 50 even with Gain set to 0. If I set the Bow Threshold lower it makes them too susceptible to xtalk and false triggering.

First try raising DynLvl. Then try to raise DynTime.
If you're not able to get rid of false triggering, set AltFalseTrSupp to Yes, Rettriger to 8-10, DynLvl to 3 and DynTime to 32. Try raising DynTime first and then DynLvl.
Kick: Perfekt+ Great dynamics, very responsive, nothing to improve
Mesh drumsMD-settings-mesh.jpg
Snare: Ok+ Great sensitivity
- Slightly messy pressrolls
- Strong head stroke occationally pulls a rim note
- Some consistency problem (equal speed trigger variable velocity)
- Light Rim strokes often trigger head notes
The mesh pad has the head piezo from under, near the rim. I have added a muffler from top to dampening
For dual piezo/piezo heads Rettriger for both the Head and the Rim should be set close to each other.
Rettriger set to 18 seems way too high for me. On my Pintech snare I set Rettriger to 6 for the Head and to 6-10 for the Rim. Again, with AltFalseTrSupp to Yes I get better results. I set Rettriger to to 2-4 for the Head and 6-10 for the Rim, DynLvl to 3 and DynTime to 64.
Curve is very important for getting best consistency.
- If inconsistency tends to be more for light strokes, the Curve should be less logarithmic and more exponential.
- If inconsistency tends to be more for strong strokes, the Curve should be less exponential and more logarithmic.
- If inconsistency tends to be more for mid range strokes then the Curve set to S1 may be a good bet.
- If inconsistency tends to be more for light and strong strokes but not for mid range strokes then the Curve set to S2 may be a best option.
- I may add more S-type curves.
If inconsistency is all over the place you may need to raise MinScan.
Tom1: ok
- Some consistency problem (equal speed trigger variable velocity)
- Light Rim strokes often trigger head notes
What I wrote about consistency for the Snare aplies to Tom1 and all other pads.
Again, Rettriger 20 on the Head seems too high and far apart from Rettriger for the Rim.
For light Rim strokes to triiger rim notes and not to trigger head notes you may want any of these:
1. Lower Threshold for the Rim or raise Threshold for the Head.
2. Lower HighLevel for the Rim or raise HighLevel for the Head so that MegaDrum gave more weight to Rim signals when it detects signals on both Head and Rim

Crash: Good- Very soft edge stroke trigger bow notes. Retrigger on bow set high to avoid double notes in that case.
If the edge stroke are so soft that they don't force the edge switch to make, there is no way for MegaDrum to register it as an edge signal. Instead of raising Retrigger it is better to raise the Threshold. I also would raise Threshold. See what I wrote about HiHat.
Curve: s1 on bow to delay 'crash-point'. I like to ride my crashes.
Ride - 2zone: Good
+ With 3rd zone disabled, edge and bell gives same sound with this setting (I use bell sample).
+ Great sensitivity
- Small tweaks in dynamics can be done
Ride - 3zone: Not done
- Getting consistent bell and egde is a hassle. I'll offer a midway point soon.
Waiting for more info.
Crash2 : ok
- Soft edge stroke trigger bow notes.
- The pad has a hotspot weakness in design
- Dynamics on edge is uneven
See my comments above about Curves and consistency.
