All the parameters described in the MegaDrum Configuration Documentation are available in MDMFX. the MegaDrum Configuration Documentation is the ultimate source of information about all the parameters and it doesn't matter if you use MDMFX or configure it from a front panel of the module.
By Older Version of editing tool, I mean that when I search the forum for settings in DrumManager as used by other users, they are always using the older version of DrumManager and the parameters don't match what I have in DrumManagerFX.
Pretty much all parameters in MDM and MDMFX are the same. Those which don't match are probably newer parameters due to requirements for newer firmware version and not available in MDM since it was succeeded by MDMFX.
I've been reading the pad setup post and most of it makes sense, some doesn't, but I did see parameters that seem to effect why my single stroke rolls are choppy and missing hits.
I'm just surprised I can't find anybodys posting of their successful Roland pd-8 pad settings. I found 2 that tried, one of which was the first screenshot I attached which had the 0 midi note for the rim/edge, then I tried another for the PD-8 with resistor, no different. I've tried swapping out the stereo cables connecting to the pads to rule out any cable issues etc. no change.
This is probably because almost nobody had problems configuring rubber pads before.
