Send ConfSysex generates a lot of Sysex messages (like it's supposed to be I guess), and it gives me Java errors as well - added screenshots
reading settings with MCT doesn't work the same way as MDM (activity LED on MD works but no effect in MCT).
I also discovered some new errors: When I start MDM and open the MIDI port for the first time FW is recognised correctly as described before. Then I raised the pressroll timeout in MDM by one from 0 to 10 and got some new errors on that single action (picture of errors attached)

Poldi-1, I think I found the bug. Try this version:

Oops, there was a bug with Big VU split option when receiving a config from MegaDrum. This one fixes it:
MegaDrumManager.zip

WORKS! You're the man!
But what should the Big VU Split do? Don't see any change on enabling it...

It's what you suggested for a new firmware version in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1465
Obviously, it requires a new, 20110207, firmware version loaded into MegaDrum.

What else can I do than quote myself? ;)

edit: Oh I can say you should put a link to this thread or a direct link in the downloads section so people know there is more than the old MCT.

You might wanna link it in the Downloads section on the main page as well, cause I believe this is the place where most people will look for software initially :)

MDM offline ...

Postby daniel » Thu Feb 10, 2011 12:26 pm

I have built an extra pc for my megadrum and I want it to have to do as few work as possible apart from SD 2 in order to keep the system stable. I also deactivated the internet explorer so I couldn't install MegadrumManager in the proposed way. I asked Dimitri for help and as there are probably more Megadrum users that don't have internet connection on their Megadrum pc, here is the (main part of the) answer for you ...

"MegaDrum Manager is a Java program, i.e. a JAR file. The direct link to the JAR file is http://www.megadrum.info/mdm/MegaDrumManager.signed.jar
But it is really meant to be installed over Internet, from http://www.megadrum.info/content/megadrum-manager, to keep it up to date. "

ps.: next time I will ask in the forum right away ... :)
