56 inputs MegaDrum kit for sale

Here I offer 3 options for those who don't want to go with a complete MegaDrum module (32 inputs MegaDrum module for sale or 56 inputs MegaDrum module for sale) and at the same time don't want to build MegaDrum from scratch.

Updated on 09/04/2017: Replaced a 2.2" color LCD option with a 2.4" color LCD option. Added a 2.8" color LCD option.

Updated on 06/10/2014: Introduced a new ARM version based on STM32F205RCT6. It runs at 120MHz compared to 72MHz for the older STM32F103RCT6 version.

1. Full kit which includes:
  • A fully soldered MegaDrum main board with ARM STM32F205RCT6 at 120MHz programmed with the protected bootloader and 256Kbit extended EEPROM.
  • 16x2 LCD with a soldered cable and a board connector (or colour 160x128 LCD as seen in https://youtu.be/7tY2F42GBIY ).
  • Fully soldered controls mini board with rotary encoders, buttons, cables and board connectors.
  • USB socket with a soldered cable and a board connector.
  • DIN5 MIDI In and MIDI Out sockets with a soldered cable and a board connector.
  • Mini power switch with a soldered cable and a board connector.
  • MIDI activity LED with a soldered cable and a board connector.
  • 40way 30cm pads inputs cable with an IDC 2x20 board connector.
  • 20way 30cm pads inputs cable with an IDC 2x10 board connector.

2. Basic kit which includes:
  • A fully soldered MegaDrum main board with ARM STM32F205RCT6 at 120MHz programmed with the protected bootloader and 256Kbit extended EEPROM.
  • 16x2 LCD with a soldered cable and a board connector (or colour 160x128 LCD as seen in https://youtu.be/7tY2F42GBIY ).
  • USB socket with a soldered cable and a board connector.
  • Mini power switch with a soldered cable and a board connector.
  • MIDI activity LED with a soldered cable and a board connector.
  • One IDC 2x20 male connector.
  • One IDC 2x10 male connector.
  • 4 buttons, 2 1n4148 diodes, 4way flat cable and 4way connector.

3. Minimal kit which includes only one item:
  • A fully soldered MegaDrum main board with ARM STM32F205RCT6 at 120MHz programmed with the protected bootloader and 256Kbit extended EEPROM.

Kits prices:
  • ARM based Full kit with extended EEPROM - 140GBP (British pounds) plus postage
  • ARM based Basic kit with extended EEPROM - 130GBP plus postage
  • ARM based Minimal kit with extended EEPROM - 115GBP plus postage

    With an optional 1.8" colour 160x128 LCD (as seen in https://youtu.be/7tY2F42GBIY ) included it will cost 5GBP more.
    With an optional 2.2" colour 320x240 LCD (as seen in https://youtu.be/pMp64BEYICM ) included it will cost 10GBP more.
    With an optional 2.4" colour 320x240 LCD included it will cost 10GBP more.
    With an optional 2.8" colour 320x240 included it will cost 15GBP more.

    Insured postage for the Full and Basic kits:
    • to UK - 6GBP
    • to EU - 14GBP
    • to US and everywhere else - 16GBP

    Insured postage for the Minimal kit:

    • to EU - 10GBP
    • to US and everywhere else - 12GBP

Added an option to choose between Atmega1284 and Atmega644.
Atmega644 based kits are now 5GBP cheaper than before.

hi,
im currently in a research with my traditional instruments, and i wonder if i can use each of the input with chocking capabilities??
or does it require a special programming? or it is not currently supported with the current system?

Choking is supported on all inputs configured as a dual piezo/switch pad/cymbal.

I'm looking at buying an Atmega1284 Minimal kit and have a few questions.

What connects to CN1 and CN4?
Are the correct rotary encoders 2bit Grey Code?
