I like the diversity.. I went simple and made the 56i rack mount configuration since alot of my things will reside right there.. including the few computers driving the sound and recording. A little soldering with the synthex kit and a tiny bit of superglue and hot glue.. I am ready to start tweaking. :)

I rather have this than crappy pictures taken by mobile phones, webcams etc.!
My monitor and internet connection can handle it, so what's the problem? :D
I say let people show their MD creations in detail and inspire others!

Last pictures by Black Lykich were posted originally around 3000x2000 in size and than, after the Cysign comment, Black Lykich resized them. I don't think we need pictures here which don't fit most of monitors.

If nobody can see your pictures and your caption makes no sense, then your point is moot. These last few posts never made any sense until I saw the re-sized pics. Still not sure what the point is. Something about epson printers & sticky tape? :?

I think funkystx just didn't know that these last pictures were ORIGINALLY too big to fit most monitors.

Changed my setup somewhat since my pics on Page 8 of this thread.

I saw an old Nintendo controller in a games store, so changed my remote display casing:

Pretty simple to adapt the D-Pad really, just chop off the far right part of the pcb, throw away the rest to make room for our LCD.

Scrape off the solder mask from 5 of the tracks, and solder on the appropriate wires:

Also, I had some issues with the 3.5mm plugs I was using (poor contact, possibly due to cheap quality...) so decided to swap to 6.5mm.
While I was at it, I built everything into the Bass Drum, with all the HiHat, Cymbals plugging into the Bass Drum Shell.
My Rack Enclosure didn't come with a faceplate, so have to sort that out...
In the bass drum I have a PC with powersupply to the left. An External USB HDD to deal with a SD2 expansion pack. An M-Audio box. the Megadrum Unit. No Monitor,Keyboard or mouse is connected to PC relying on VNC.
Everything is ready that I can now put the other skin back on the Bass Drum, as no access is required.

Since my remote display has a Parallel Port Plug at the end of it, I mounted a Parallel Port onto the Bass Drum Shell too, as well as Power for the PC that is in the BassDrum (megadrum and Maudio unit powered over USB). Headphones and Ipod plug into the top of the Bass Drum, and the Switch on top of the Bass Drum is connected to the PC. (one press = soft shutdown, long press = kill).
Plugs for the Toms and Snare come trhough a hole on top, rather than having a socket on the bassdrum shell for each.
(top down shot onto top of bass drum)

PC has a WiFi USB Dongle, and I connect to it via my Android Phone or PC if I need to make adjustments to either SD2, Megadrum or Cantabile. Added an external Ethernet Port with another IP address so a PC can be plugged directly into it, so I can VNC without the need for a wireless network or switch.
Image

Also, I have one Roland E-Cymbal, but my Hihat and another Crash are just unmodified Rock Band ones, I made up a cable with a small box that houses a socket for the RockBand 3.5mm headphone plug, and also a resistor to lower the input voltage.
Image

You can see I'm still using my Hihat with the Magnet and Hall Effect Sensor, the Hall Effect Sensor is surrounded and protected by a circular housing (an empty roll of electrical tape, covered in more elec tape, looks the part though!). Been running it with no issue.

Here you can see my E-Cowbell made from 2 sanding blocks and Duct-Tape.

Don't really have an overview shot (poor lighting, couldn't get a good one) but I'll be moving the kit tomorrow, so'll try to get an overview shot.

Got some overview photos done today.

Last photo Shows laptop and Android Phone connected via wireless + VNC, also iPod Plugged into Input ontop of BassDrum, which is mixed in with the SD2 output and played through the HD Headphones.
Megadrum LCD and buttons in Nintendo Controller, the megadrum will work if it is disconnected.
I only use it to do a firmware upgrade, or if I want to use it instead of the PC based config tool.
Cheers,
Waz.
