A bit more improvement to the algorithm:

With the new firmware I still git a second low trigger signal after a stroke. Retrigger Mask is already at 100 and normally I use 20 or 24 as dyntime if I rasie dyntime to 36 it goes away but fast rolls aren't possible anymore. I use RT-10 triggers on acoustic heads.

Maybe I should lower threshold and retrigger and instead raise dyntime.

I can hardly help with settings for external triggers on acoustic heads - I have no idea what the wave form of signals is with these triggeres.
Retrigger 100? You have a real problem somewhere. With Rettriger above 15-20 I don't think it is possible to get any fast rolls no matter what other settings are.

Without those triggers I'm doing it blindly but try this version:

If having a trouble, please also include all other relevant settings, i.e. Threshold, Gain, HighLevel,MinScan, in the description. A MIDI file showing the problem will also help.

And make sure you set AltFalseTrSupp to Yes!!!

I'll try it, now I have to set altencoders after each update to yes right?

I've published the latest firmware version, 20110703, where the new false triggering suppression algorithm replaced the old main false triggering suppression algorithm. The old main false triggering suppression algorithm is now activated with AltFalseTrSupp set to Yes. I'll update the MegaDrum Documentation shortly to reflect the changes.

Just wanted to say that the last version 20110626 works very well.

Hi Dmitri, i upgraded to the last November 2011 FW (i was still at the February one!), and i'm appreciating the new detection algorithm! You reached your goals! A way better triggering. I'm curious about the way you did it, what aspect of the trigger wave makes the difference...
Thank you for your precious and continuous work! ;)
And better stability between MD and MDM communication, too. Great!
