And it works! What a relief ... :D

Next: rewiring the pads, putting the caps on the pots, and fine-fine-fine-tuning the pads and everything. Also, have to install the new firmware ...

Looks great. Do you think you won't have to adjust anything during a performance? The problem I always face with dark surfaces is that it's hard to read and see what you're doing. Maybe a spotlight in the tom above the bass :? .
Btw, in our country, I think it's illegal to kick mice?

Thanks.
I don`t adjust anything during playing a song. Before/after - yes.
NL is a strange country all the way :D

Really good idea mounting MD in the BD, I'm glad I posted that link now. Where does the laptop go Everson? I'm going to move to pc at some point (garritan looks reasonable) and found a 2U case which also houses a laptop which will cover MD but it then crossed my mind about amplification. Not sure where to go with that. I have an old alligator 400W amp some where, what are you using ?

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

As I said, I got this idea before I saw drumagination (and I saw it on vdrums long ago). But, sure, it`s good you posted it. ;)

My laptop is on the other side of the room. If I`d have a dedicated computer for drumming I`d definitely put it in the kick drum as well.

I`m not using an amplifier, just the headphones. Although, I have some active studio monitors (connected to the presonus 22vsl and the laptop) and I can listen the drums there too ... I rarely do.
I like (and I have) to be quiet :D

Anyway, just wanted to say this approach gave me more freedom and I can now fine tune the drums much easier, unlike previously. Everything is now under my hands and I`m taking advantage of it.

No. But they say it will be out very soon, in a week or two. Working on the finishing touches ...

I am certainly looking forward to trying those china's, if not all of them. I'm loving my kit toys cymbals as of late, but I must say, I might have to switch if Kit Toys doesn't come back... I was looking forward to the new models, as mine are taking an unfortunate beating (falling apart). Triggera will have a good following if they are what they say they are...

Agree.
And as I understood, they`ll be high-quality.
We just have to have patience with such small companies, as they don`t have budgets and resources to deliver new products so fast.
Hopefully, this long-awaited china will come out soon ...
