Hey, I can't find 74HC4851 or MAX(whatever it was) for me, but I did find HC4051. It is 8xMUX... Can I use that?
Also, I can't find PIC18F2550, but I found it on Microchip's page. You can order from there, but I don't know how, and how to pay reliable. Has anyone ordered from there?

As I sent pm to Synthex: My friend said that he could do me THE PCB for FREE! I will post pics etc. IF and WHEN I get the pcb and components. :)

Oh baby! My friend can make me this PCB this week, maybe even tomorrow :P (SURE I will post pics)

But: Do I/we have to mirror the PDF image, that comes to the copperside?

Also, my friend can possibly get me all the chips and components. (finally) :P

Hi all,

I am still busy at uni but managed to etch this board but still don't have time to do the drilling yet, damit I need a mate that can do mine for free

will post some pics later

small prob with 74hc4851 very difficult to find in UK at least but some good news 4 chips on ebay

or

Texas Instruments have Free samples of: Ti ref: SN74HC4851-Q1

part no: SN74HC4851QDRQ1 (SOIC 16) / SN74HC4851QPWRQ1 (Tssop 16) maximum of 10 free chips free post too :P

only problem is they are surface mount and i will need to make an adapter for them

if I have time will make the pcb adapter board design anyways they will be more difficult to solder due to the fine pitch of these devices should be able to post on that sometime towards end of may

Best Regards

Yea, my friend etched&Made the board for me last wednesday, but it FAILED : ( Almost everything went wrong :P
We made the traces to "virgin-pcb" by UV-light-"chamber".So, what wen't wrong :D
1.The transparency he made to get the traces onto pcb, was too small.
2.Trace-picture was wrong ways.
3.The POSITIV-laquer was best before 2004, so it wasn't best stuff to use, but we used it. All off the laquer that needed to go off, didn't. SO, the etchant didn't etch all the traces, that needed to be etched away. Here's picture of f**ked-up-PCB.
Oh, well. I can't take picture, because my sister has it, and she's in some camp site. She comes home tomorrow, I'll upload pic then.

Thank Synthex, for publishing this PCB-design!

I just used cheap glossy photo paper though my laser printer method sorry I mean the toner transfer method :D

use acetone to remove toner after etching or nail varnish remover just don't let your gf see you using it all

I use Sodium Persulphate as an etchant its cleaner, safer, cheaper than other chemicals used in past and it lasts if stored in dark cool place but it is better warm for etching.

best of luck on next one ;)
