Wow! Very interesting! If that could be used for switches on cymbals/pads it would be a fantastic and very cheap option - great find!

Ok, got a bit excited there before realising what it is - I initially thought it was some kind of membrane switch in sheet plastic form... but it's the stuff they use for wrapping electronic equipment in to protect it from static electricity, easily found anywhere. Still, it got me thinking too... It would depend on how low a resistance Megadrum needs to consider a switch as "closed". The site says it goes down to <500 ohms.

I think I have some of the stuff around, actually, I'll see if I get time to test it out. Thanks for the food for thought, Privatex!

I gonna make some tests 2, there's some nice diy sensors on youtube. If it work for led diodes it must work for MD right. Fact that it is pressure sensitive material with couple videos from youtube makes me intrigued. Maybe this can be answer on positional sensing ride cymbal who knows, hahkhm.
As I saw DIY spheres likes exactly this kind of materials.
Found it today, put it here because this is a right place for diy innovations.
We will see whats gonna happen, beauty is in simplicity.
