Re: KIT AVAILABLE !!! All In One v2.7 PCB Kit to sell !!!

Hello....

I managed to build Megadrum (very easily in 3 hours thanks to Synthex awesome PCB) and it seems to be fully working (this time ) :
LCD & Keyboard are working
Megadrum is working (Vu meter and midi led activity...)
USB is working (windows xp recognised the device and set up the drivers)...

But now, I'm at a loss to make it work with BFD or Cubase in software (through the usb).
What am I supposed to do ?

I set up midiox and midiyoke as well as edrum monitor, but I have no ideas about the settings to use...

btw, I didn't succeed in reading/setting the megadrum settings through edrum monitor.

Could we have a tutorial guiding us ?

Thanks again to dmitri and Synthex
ps : as I own a TD 20, I'll be able to compare megadrum to the roland flagship, Beware Roland !
(I own 3 zones cymbals, it would be nice to have support for them too).

I made some time ago this tutorial to connect a drum module to the PC to play BFD of DFHS samples through Cubase or VStack (it is explained for both)

http://www.batacas.com/foros/showthread.php?t=30764

It is in Spanish. I suppose if you translate it with Google translator it will give you a bad translation but good enough to understand (thanks to self-explanatory images) how to achive that

You khow how to make TD-20 to work with BFD or Cubase, don't you? Then there is no much difference for MegaDrum. You just use 'USB Audio' as a MIDI input instead of a standard MIDI port.

Edrum monitor has never supported reading/saving MegaDrum settings. MD Controller used to be able to do it but since the time it was developed I added many new features/settings to MegaDrum and as a result breaking compatibility with MD Controller. See viewtopic.php?f=3&t=58

Could we have a tutorial guiding us ?

Anyone up for the task?

Well, I have been using cubase and vst instruments for 3 years now but I still haven't succeeded in making megadrum work with cubase and BFD (plugin or stand alone).

I bought the TD20 to practice and I'm not good enough to record drums yet, so I only used the built in samples and I never tried connecting the TD 20 to Cubase or to BFD.

Now, there is no "USB Audio" input in my cubase, it doesn't appear in the drop down input menu (either I don't know how to set it up with cubase or there is a problem).

Yet, when I go in "configuration pannel/sounds and audio devices/"
there is no "megadrum peripherique audio usb" choice choice neither in "Audio" nor in "voice",
but in "hardware", it says :

"USB audio device"
USB audio generic
Emplacement 0 megadrum
this devices works correctly

In attachments 2 pics of the driver of megadrum
(please notice that there is a LVUSBSta.sys from logitech appearing in this list, I tried deleting it, this was a bad idea as all my audio devices had "yellow !" in the device manager afterwards...)

Afterwards, I uninstalled a logitech webcam afterwards that had an usb audio peripherique (a mic)....

At a complete loss,

I believe you've set "Device->Device Setup->MIDI->All MIDI Inputs->USB Audio In" to Yes, haven't you?

I have no "USB Audio In" entry as you can see on the attached picture...

I have entries for my Emu 1820m and for Midi Yoke that I installed (yet megadrum doesn't appear in midi yoke either)

I think this is a windows related problem : windows sets up the megadrum driver...
but megadrum doesn't appear in any menu of my audio apps

Can you list all devices(screenshots?) you see in Device Manager under "Sound, video and game controller" when MegaDrum is disconnected and when it is connected?

It is the same, whether megadrum is connected or not (synthex power switch on or off)

here are the pictures
