Dmitri,
I hope that the home projects are going well.
As I am finally getting ready to take this project seriously, I wanted to confirm the PS inputs for the ARM version of the MD board.
This is a table I put together, and I am understanding that inputs that are evenly numbered, support the PS functionality.
Pads connector 1
Pin number Input
40 Pedal power Input number ?
39 Low impedance pedal Input number ?
38 High impedance pedal Input number ?
37 Kick Input number ?
36 HiHatE Input 1
35 HiHatB Input 2
34 SnareR Input 3
33 SnareH Input 4
32 RideE Input 5
31 RideB Input 6
30 CrashE Input 7
29 CrashB Input 8
28 Tom1R Input 9
27 Tom1H Input 10
26 Tom2R Input 11
25 Tom2H Input 12
24 Tom3R Input 13
23 Tom3H Input 14
22 Tom4R Input 15
21 Tom4H Input 16
20 Aux1R Input 17
19 Aux1H Input 18
18 Aux2R Input 19
17 Aux2H Input 20
16 Ground Input 21
15 Ground Input 22
14 Aux3R Input 23
13 Aux3H Input 24
12 Aux4R Input 25
11 Aux4H Input 26
10 Aux5R Input 27
9 Aux5H Input 28
8 Aux6R Input 29
7 Aux6H Input 30
6 Aux7R Input 31
5 Aux7H Input 32
4 Aux8R Input 33
3 Aux8H Input 34
2 Aux9R Input 35
1 Aux9H Input 36
Pads connector 2
Pin number Input
20 Aux10R Input 21
19 Aux10H Input 22
18 Aux11R Input 23
17 Aux11H Input 24
16 Aux12R Input 25
15 Aux12H Input 26
14 Aux13R Input 27
13 Aux13H Input 28
12 Aux14R Input 29
11 Aux14H Input 30
10 Aux15R Input 31
9 Aux15H Input 32
8 Aux16R Input 33
7 Aux16H Input 34
6 Aux17R Input 35
5 Aux17H Input 36
4 Aux18R Input 37
3 Aux18H Input 38
2 Aux19R Input 39
1 Aux19H Input 40
If this is the case, then great. Also, with the Hihat input that is buffered, does there need to be any pull up voltage present on the non-inverting input to the buffer?
Thanks

1. Positional sensing is supported on all inputs.
2. Pull-up resistor on the HiHat input may be needed regardless of if the input is buffered or not.

Hi dmitri,

what do I have to do to get one of these addon boards? I just checked, I do have the pinst holes so I guess my board is already compatible.

Is it relevant that I am using Roland pads (PD 105), as I've read on the settings documentation that "Most of other mesh pads out there, like Roland, Drumtec and etc, produce a negative first half wave. In this case you will have to use a full wave precision rectifier."

I can solder the one wire and attach the cable, that won't be a problem, beyond that, no! :D

Also, kinda OT for this, what are the default mappings considering I've got a 32 input unit (looks pretty much like this one from the back: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1392)? I've not really used it, so far mostly only the MIDI output from my TD-9. I want to replace that with my megadrum unit soon but I'm having some trouble setting up megadrum initially. There are a LOT of parameters :D.

Thanks!

You can PM me for this.

You can pull default config from MegaDrum to MDM and see what notes assigned to each input by default.

Hello Dmitri,

I have bought the full MD kit, some time later the PS add-on board, larger display and a MD housing from you.

I started to build everything in this new housing but I'm confused by the 2 pictures in the first post.
My main board and the PS board differ quite a lot from these pictures.
I'm afraid to destroy something when I make wrong connections.

The main board has a jumper position with indication PosJump, probably the improved alternative for the wire?
My PS board has 3 IC's on the same side where the connector is.

Maybe I missed the instruction manual for the PS board, if so do you have a link?
Kind regards, Rob.

MD STM32F205RCT6 v3 (STM32d_56) full kit with PS addon board and 2.4" colour LCD, TD11, TD15, KD120, VH11, PD125x, PD120, PDX8, CY5, CY8, CY12R, PM-30, Steinberg UR22/44/816C.

When you connect the Positional board to the Main board (make sure pin 1 from Main board connector goes to the pin 1 on the Positional board) you must put a jumper on the PosJumper pins.
