Controlling MegaDrum with rotary encoders

That's really a cool new feature (I hate navigating in the menu with my ultra low quality buttons which choke every ~3rd press). How about compatibility with Synthex' PCB version of the board?

Of course, this feature is compatible with my PCB.

My apologies in reviving an old topic.

I remember reading something about needing a button for firmware updates and other functions which the encoders can't do by themselves. I wasn't thinking about this when I ordered my encoders so I don't have the pushbutton style encoder. Which buttons are these, if any are still needed?

I don't have room on the front of my megadrum, but I can put a few submini buttons in the back if they are needed.

The LEFT button is needed to enter the bootloader.
The UP button is needed to choose crystal clock in the bootloader.
The DOWN button is needed to start an upgrade.

And separate from the bootloader functionality, the RIGHT button is needed to load default settings while powering MegaDrum up.

Of course microswitches can be used as these buttons accessible through small holes at the back/bottom of the case.
