Hi Synthex, Dmitri and everybody

First let me tell you that this is an awesome project, congratulations
I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and have a few questions

1) With this PCB, can I do a 16 inputs version of the megadrum? I don't think I would need more than that. Should I put only two 74HC4851 instead of 4, or i'm wrong?
2) Could the paypal payment be done in Us dollars? I think my paypal account doesn't work with Euro, but not sure.

Thanks!
Javier

Yes, you can only mount two 74HC4851 instead of 4.

All PayPal accounts can operate in euros. But if you want, you can do it in US dollars.

Thanks for the response.

Sorry to ask this, i've read the faq but still don't get it right:

1)How is that this has 32 inputs? In the pictures I see only 16 inputs. Each input works as 2? What happens with dual zone pads? They come with stereo jacks to trigger both notes?

2) I don't plan to use the midi connectors, just the usb cable to hook the MD to the PC. Can I ditch some components to make it cheaper?

Sorry for the newbie questions

You're right.
17 jacks = 32 inputs = 15 * 2 inputs per jack + 2 * 1 input per jack (for kick and HH pedal)

Perfect. I asume then that each plug to be connected can be mono or stereo, depending of which type (single or double zone) of trigger I am connecting, right? And the female jacks should be stereo, right?

Great, i've seen that picture. This applies to Dmitri schematics as well? If I decide to use Dmitri's schematics can I ditch what I do not plan to use too?

Thanks! Sorry again for the newbie questions

Yes, the MIDI part is the same.

Thanks a lot. That helps.

I will be researching in local stores to see if I have all the components available, and based on that decide wich way to go (dmitri's or synthex schema)

Again, thanks!

Sorry to bother, I still need to make more questions.

As I said, i'm deciding if I order the all in one or build the 2 boards myself. I see in this thread the part list detailed, but can't find on Dmitri's pdf the components detailed, I see reference names or numbers but no details on each component. Are the components on the two "branches" of the project the same? I think that the 2 board scheme must use some conectors and cables between them not present in the all in one. I'm losing something here?

Thanks

Synthex, you made a piece of art there for people like me who do not have the access to tools for making pcb's themselves!

Since I don't have paypall and don't intend to make an account there (makes me shiver), could I please PM you and pay directly to your account to buy a kit please ?

Regards,
GyRo.
