It does not make sense. For me it works like a charm...

I have uninstalled it, deleted both the MegadrumConfigTool folder and the MidiPort.dll file, and reinstalled again (from egadrum.info/configtool/install.jnlp. Even in the first run I can read/write configs and update firmware.

After removing config and uninstalling it I ran javaws http://www.megadrum.info/configtool/install.jnlp and get 'Unable to launch the application' from java

javaws -wait http://www.megadrum.info/configtool/install.jnlp should also work. I installed it that way.

THe error is general? I mean, do you get it when loading/sending megadrum settings? or only on the firmware update?

it is veeeery strange. For me it's working :? :? :?

Maybe it is due to opening, sending, and closing without waiting for the so long message to be sent.

Im going to implement some kind of timer to wait to close the output when sending the firmware. As before I modified that way of managing midi input and output.

Did you point to .php or to the .jnlp? You must use the .jnlp installation as the php does somestrange things.

It was due to .php. When using .jnlp it installed it locally.

Updated right now. Now it does not close the device when doing a firmware update. It leaves it opened until next normal sysex sending, then it will be closed. Anyway it will be closed if it is open when you close the app.

Let's see if this change helps with the linux firmware update
