Problems with the last firmware

Postby therapix » Sun Nov 23, 2008 11:24 pm

Can someone say form like the MIDI-OX and the Megadrum to dump the last firmware (20081020) correctement?

With the previous (20080209) the Megadrum it was working correctly but when I dump the last firmware, Though he says
"update finished ", the megadrum it does not work well, the response of the buttons is too rapid and puts in mode "load drum map", it is not possible to control the contrast of the screen, etc...

My megadrum is a "Synthex all in one v2.4" with atmega32 20Mhz 32inputs.

Any help is welcome...

The problem persists. I can not start the MD with the default settings (right click, while beginning) or with the old firmware or the last. Adding a screenshot of the MIDI-OX to see if anyone can help me. Thank you

I Replace the clock 20Mhz by one of 16Mhz. I have installed a bootloader through the LPT port using PonyProg. In the file / open device file/ bootloader.hex. When he finishes the dump PonyProg said: "write successful" But when I turn on MD pressing the left button does not appear firmware update option.

The isp cable is correct. Ponyprog LPT probe, calibration and configuration and security bits is correct.

What can I do?

As a proof of correct fuses, read them with PonyProg, make a screenshot and post it here.

If you write MegaDrum firmware instead of the bootloader, does it run correctly, i.e. all keys work as expected?

if I write the firmware instead of bootloader, when finished, the LED flashes for one minute and then Windows does not recognize the Megadrum. Or does not start with the bootloader nor with the firmware. I have to dump again bootloader.hex to Windows recognize the Megadrum.

Forget about the bootloader for now. You have a hardware problem on the board since even if you write the MegaDrum firmware with an ISP cable it doesn't work. First you need to make sure that it works when you write MegaDrum firmware directly with an ISP cable. Search for shorts/bridges or bad/loose soldering. And what firmware file do you write into it?
