The EXT connector from the v2.8 All In One PCB can support 24 inputs.
32 inputs + 24 inputs = 56 inputs.

40 inputs for Atmega32/324.
56 inputs for Atmega644.
theoretically speaking.

I can also produce a downscaled version of the MegaDrum firmware for Atmega16 with probably 16-20 inputs support... if there will be interest.

ok, thank you both for your quick answers, guess I'm stuck using 2 ATMega's for my project, sending the midi out from one megadrum board to the other midi in.

Thank you dmitri but I don't need a downscaled version, maybe others do though...

only small changes need to be done. When it is released as an stable hardware, i will rebuild MCT

Wait a minute...

With this version how many inputs will we be able to connect pads to?

Will this version take more space in the EEPROM of the atmega? And if so, will we have less space to save config and drum maps?

If that happens, how many slots will be available for drum maps and confis, in the atmega 32 and 64?

And the mother of alllllllllllll questions!!!! WHEN WILL IT BE READY?!?!?! 8-)

Once again great job you guys :)

40 or 48

At least 2 for configs and at least 4 for drum maps. More for Atmega644

Once somebody tested it and says it is ready:)

So come on people..get to work, i need some of them sweet, sweet 48 inputs :P.

Dimitri, thanks a lot for this (Megadrum), because of you, i now can have a very good drum without having to sell my house and donate 1/3 of my body's vital organs.

yup, availability, I'll probably need a 2.8kit + 16 input daughter board for my project.
No rush, just wondering when they'll be ready for purchase.
