You can see the list of components on the top of the PCB. It's the "same" as v2.4.

I've attached a list of V2.5 components and confirmed it with Synthex. It does only differ slightly from the V2.4 list.

I'm going to try my best to produce a complete list of all components, including cables, cable ends, case, etc. sourced from Mouser.com to hopefully facilitate easy drag-and-drop ordering of a complete 100% DIY Synthex V2.5 "kit" from within the US. However, due purely to the massive amount of products offered at Mouser.com it'll take some amount of effort to figure out which capacitors/resistors/etc. are appropriate.

Here is where I'm at with sourcing all of the necessary V2.5 components via Mouser.com

I'd like to thank Systhex for doing nearly all of the work. Without his assistance I would have surely sourced 90% of the components incorrectly.

Items that still need to be properly sourced are the missing capacitors as well as the 470nF (25v multilayer ceramic) and 220nP (25v multilayer ceramic) capacitors which are on backorder. There's a variety of seemingly viable replacements for the 220nP but I see nothing obvious for the 470nF. Also, Mouser doesn't carry etchant.

To make ordering easy simply

    Open http://www.mouser.com/
    Click EZ Buy
Login to your Mouser account or create one
    Click BoM tool
Copy ONLY the Mouser Part # and Quantity columns from the spreadsheet
Paste them into the large text box
In the list box next to the Import BOM button select either "current order" or you can create a new project to save for later use and ordering
Then click Import BOM and your order or project will be created

10/03/08 Edited to remove the spreadsheet from this post so there's not older versions floating around. Use the newer and updated version in the post below this one.

Attached is the updated V2.5 ordering for Mouser.com in Excel and HTM format. Synthex has once again done loads of work reviewing my product choices and suggesting replacements for out of stock items. If anyone finds any errors please let me know as I plan to place an order on Monday and hope to make this project a 1-order success unlike most of my others which require 5 orders from various companies, then a couple re-orders thanks to me screwing it up. ;)

Edited on 10/02/08 to include latest spreadsheet with some better product selections and more product notes in case something is out of stock.

Edited on 11/20/08 to include correct crystals, separate JACKS board BOM, ISCP cable components, and more product notes based on my ongoing experience building this V2.5 board.

Wow Gastric, That is extremely helpful and very complete. Thanks to you and Synthex for the time spent on this list! My stuff will be on the way some time this coming week if all goes well. 8-)

I have some aluminum angle and some sheet aluminum and an aluminum break, so I'll probably just fab a rack mount box and save the $57. This will be a very affordable project if I don't count my time worth anything! :D

Very Cool!!!!!

The only thing I didn't see with that specific rack box is PCB standoffs/mounts. I'm unsure how you would fabricate some. I have a variety of computer motherboard standoffs but you'd have to drill-and-tap the rack somehow. Many cases come with standoffs included which would be the preference. Certainly a rack would be seemingly easy to construct if you had the materials, tools, and skills. It's just a rectangular box, removable lid, and some rack ears bolted on. Nothing particularly complicated.

Bud Industries makes similar rack units, also no PCB standoffs. They were out of stock when I first started the spreadsheet but are in stock at the time I write this: 563-CH-14401 $43.50

I'm actually placing my order by your list, so thank you this helps alot.

But on you list near the bottom of the caps, you have a surface mount Cap for the 47uF... I'm not using synthex's schematics but it doesn't look like he uses any surface mount components...

I think this might work better.

Mouser Part #: 75-515D476M025JA6AE3

EDIT: I meant to say I'm not using his PCB.

Synthex reviewed or provided nearly every electronic component in the list so it *should* be correct and accurate. But I think you're probably correct since everything else has a radial termination. I'd have the answer if I'd actually built the board yet. But right now I'm certainly not the right person to ask. :)

Synthex - I think there's an issue with the board images in this thread. I make laser prints at 600dpi on two separate printers of both your jack/input board and the V2.5 board. However, only the jack board prints to the proper size. The V2.5 board always prints slightly too large. Here are two images showing the prints of both boards with a 40P IDE type connector Mouser # 517-30340-6002. It'll be obvious that the V2.5 board is printed too large. It'll be difficult to see the jack board is 100% correct but you can at least see it's not too large.

The image is good.
Here is 10*0.1 inch for 600 pixels.
