Shielding is important to avoid overspill.

Fabodrum, you can build the AllInOne v2.5 PCB : http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=198

so there :P
i might indeed end up buying his kit, my diy triggers are almost all done, even my two threezone (roland style: two threezone cymbals use three stereo trigger inputs). and i really don´t want to bother with making my own pcb, what with not having done that for years, i would certainly end up with somethine way worse than those that you guys allready made. ;)
and i´m really eager getting this thing done and to work. the megadrum will probably place itself seconds on my project awesomeness scale, right after the accuphase amp and the valve-based frequency counter that i repaired which share first place until now

about shielding: it can very well be that i didn´t have any problems while using unshielded cable because the cables were hanging on the rack so chaotically. it is indeed possible that if those cables had been nice and tidy, every one fine and parallel to the next, that i´d have gotten lots of overspill. also not, that i my trigger cables were nowhere near power cables or other sources of influence.
and shielded symmetric cables are so cheap, i couldn´t find anything cheaper that didn´t have major drawbacks anyway. so now i run unsymmetric connections with symmetric cables as well. saves me buying different kinds of cable.

To syntex/dmitri:

On the world map with sales apparently Belgium is not yet covered...so I might be the first customer...
Just a few questions about the different add-on modules:
- usb interface: can this be used to reprogram the module later on? Or is a special cable always needed?
- LCD display and buttons: can the box also be configured/tuned without it by using the PC?
- latency: with what kind of connection there is no (or the least possible) latency? This question because I tried once to connect my td-6V to trigger BFD but the latency I had was to long for being usefull.

Sorry if these questions already had been raised

Once programmed with a bootloader using a cable, MegaDrum can be upgraded over USB/MIDI.

Yes but you need a program which can do this. Beamtreetaker is developing a program which will allow to control MegaDrum without LCD and buttons.

I'm pretty sure the latency you heard was due to not using ASIO drivers.

I'm almost planning to buy full kit from you. This project hasn't got any change in like months. If I'd buy your kit, I might get interested again, because then I'd have all the parts needed.

Hello,
I'm very interrested by buying the kit but I have some questions :
- is it possible use MegaDrum under Linux using LinuxSampler or Hydrogen?
- is it possible to control MegaDrum levels using Linux?
- do you think it's possible to mount the electronic on this kind of testing kit : http://www.conrad.fr/platines_d_essai_t ... 949_216848

Thank you by advance and thank you for your job !

Hello,
You can use MegaDrum under Linux.
You can send and receive dumps with a software like MIDI-OX on Linux. But there is no dedicate MegaDrum software for Linux.
Using this type of testing kit is not the best, especially if you want to use your mounting for some time ...
